I suppose I’m a “new truck” virgin as my daily driver for the past decade has been a 1954 GMC pickup–before that it was a 1950 Chevy truck. So when I was offered the opportunity to test-drive a brand new 2014 Ram Eco-Diesel truck, it was like being transported a half-century in to the future. I met Scott Brown, Chrysler Corporation’s West Region Manager for Group Communications, at the Outdoor Writers Association of California’s (OWAC.ORG) Spring conference held in the Sierra foothills town of Sonora, California. Chrysler is an OWAC Supporting member, and I am the newly elected Vice President. Come along and join us as I take the wheel and scoot through the Sierra backcountry—with Scott Brown clinging to the dashboard!
