images-4Join correspondent, Tom Wilmer for a delightful conversation with actress, screenwriter and award-winning author Fannie Flagg as she talks about her life journey and her latest book, The All-Girl Filling Station’s Last Reunion.

Ms. Flagg, born in Birmingham, Alabama, started writing and producing TV specials at age 19 and before long became co-host of the morning show on WBRC TV Birmingham. Many people remember her from her time as a writer and subsequently co-host of Allen Funt’s Candid Camera during 1970s as well as a frequent panelist on the TV show Match Game (1973 through 1982.  Flagg’s eight books include: Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man, Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Café. images

images-2The subsequent film adaptation– Fried Green Tomatoes was nominated for an Academy Award and won Writers Guild of America’s prestigious “Scripters Award”. Other Flagg classics include: Standing in the Rainbow, A Redbird Christmas, Can’t Wait to Get to Heaven, and I still Dream About You.
