The 1,000 year-old Taos Pueblo, is regarded as North Americas longest continuously inhabited community
A conversation with Ilona Spruce, & the Taos War Chief, Samuel Gomez–
Situated a mile from the small town of Taos, New Mexico, The Pueblo is the only Native American Community designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site and a National Historic Landmark. The Pueblo’s two multi-story residential complexes, separated by the languid Red Willow creek that courses through the midst of the walled town, is likely the most photographed setting in the entire American Southwest. Join me at Taos Pueblo for an illuminating walkabout with Ms. Spruce, the Pueblo’s Tourism Director and her assistant. Then we’ll join Taos Pueblo War Chief, Samuel Gomez in his pickup truck as we check on the tribe’s herd of buffalo and he talks about his War Chief responsibilities and obligations.
