More than 50 programs are produced annually at MACLA, showcasing established and emerging artists who are passionately involved in the Latino aesthetic, experience and history.

Performances include hip-hop, modern dance, and spoken word. Engaging youth arts education programs are an essential component. Equally engaging is MACLA’s Community Access Program, providing artist incubation and development strategies that focus on artists of color who make up the first truly multicultural generation in Silicon Valley. When I visited MACLA, I was blown away by MACLA’s Low Rider art exhibit—that put an entirely new artistic-spin on custom Low Rider car rims.
