Discover the Garden Island paradise of Kauai. We’ll visit with June Capiello, Director of Public Relations at the Sheraton Kauai Resort as she shares her favorite recommendations for cool things to do, including ziplining, sailing up the Na Pali Coast, Biking down Waimea Canyon, visiting botanical gardens, and a century old lighthouse that’s also a bird sanctuary. Ms. Capiello takes us from the sunny south shore at Poipu to the Grand Canyon of the Pacific on the West Side, and up to the lush North Shore–the romantic land of Hanalei, and Princeville. Cappiello also gives us a taste of the advantages of booking a Westin Villa at Princeville that include full kitchens, and a date with the to-die-for St. Regis Resort at Princeville as well. We’ll climb aboard a Kipu Tours ATV for a most memorable excursion to visit remote, mountainside film locations such as Raiders of the Lost Arc, The Descendents, Jurassic Park, and more.

We also meet up with the Sheraton Kauai’s Executive Chef, Michael Young who guides the Pacific Rim cuisine featured at the resort’s RumFire Poipu Beach fine dining restaurant. We caught up with Chef Michael who was off duty with the family at the Taro Festival at Hanalei. Michael talks story about his passion for locally sourced fresh, organic foods, combing local farmers markets, and his love of the annual Taro Festival as it pays homage to Hawaii’s ancient basic staple that remains revered by locals.
