Join correspondent, Tom Wilmer for a delightful conversation with actress, screenwriter and award-winning author Fannie Flagg as she talks about her life journey and her latest book, The All-Girl Filling Station’s Last Reunion.
Ms. Flagg, born in Birmingham, Alabama, started writing and producing TV specials at age 19 and before long became co-host of the morning show on WBRC TV Birmingham. Many people remember her from her time as a writer and subsequently co-host of Allen Funt’s Candid Camera during 1970s as well as a frequent panelist on the TV show Match Game (1973 through 1982. Flagg’s eight books include: Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man, Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Café. 
The subsequent film adaptation– Fried Green Tomatoes was nominated for an Academy Award and won Writers Guild of America’s prestigious “Scripters Award”. Other Flagg classics include: Standing in the Rainbow, A Redbird Christmas, Can’t Wait to Get to Heaven, and I still Dream About You.
