Come along and join Journeys of Discovery with Tom Wilmer NPR podcast, Associate Producer, Melissa Corbin reporting from Nashville, Tennessee. Melissa visits with Katherine Bryant of the Nashville Public Library’s Seed Exchange Program at last fall’s Tennessee Local Food Summit on the campus of Tennessee State University.

Just finishing their second growing season and gearing up for this year, the Seed Exchange is now in ten Nashville Public Library locations where library patrons are able to “check out” flower, herb, and vegetable seeds to grow in their own backyard gardens. At the end of the season, gardeners are encouraged to return their best-harvested seeds for the next growing season.
